Little Stars Ltd is a community based Playgroup & Afterschool Club providing a quality childcare service for children aged between 3 years and 12 years
Little Stars Ltd invites applications for the following position:
Position: Pre - school Childcare Leader/Manager
Hours of work: Mon - Fri. approx 20 hours
Location: 31 Bellamount view, Cootehill, Co Cavan.
The Leader/Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the Pre-school room which caters for 20 children.
- Leading a team of other enthusiastic staff members.
- The day to day running of Pre-school.
- Engaging and communicating with parents.
- Devising daily routines and plan activities in consultation with the children.
- Implementation of Pre-School Regulations 2006 and Health & Safety at Work Act 2005.
- Reporting to, and working in partnership with, an active supportive Board of Management.
- Completing Administration tasks associated with the running of Little Stars Ltd
- Being actively involved in the future development of Little Stars Ltd
- Any other duties that may be assigned by management
Person specification:
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum Childcare qualifacation - FETAC level 6/7 in Childcare.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience working with children in similar setting.
Desirable Criteria
- FETAC level 7 or 8.
- Current first aid certificate.
- Knowledge of Children First National Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of children.
- In-dept knowledge of Pre-School Regulations 2006 / Pre-school curriculam/ ECCE Scheme/ CCS Scheme/ Siolta/Aistear
- Knowledge of I.T.
