Training has much to offer Childminders and the families they work with. Training is an opportunity for Childminders to share their many skills, ideas etc. with others. It also gives the Childminder an opportunity to learn new skills and gain further knowledge while building greater confidence and in so doing they provide an increasingly professional service. Parents feel reassured and confident in who is caring for their child/ren. Respect for Childminders and Childminding increases. Throughout the year, Cavan County Childcare Committee produces 2 training calendars and booklets. All training is listed along with the venues and the cost. The following is a sample of the training provided to Childminders.
